Patio Enclosure With Aluminum Roof

A screen room, patio enclosure or gazebo will also enhance the value of your property.

We have examined the market and are pleased to present you with these high quality screen rooms. These patio rooms provide you with protection from the sun's UV rays and at the same time give you a refuge from those annoying insects. Our screen rooms are easy to assemble. Whether you choose a patio enclosure with a soft vinyl roof or an insulated aluminum roof, our patio rooms require very low maintenance.

The three sided (Patio Enclosure) patio rooms are available with either a soft vinyl or insulated aluminum roof. The advantage of the insulated aluminum roof is that your patio enclosure can remain up all year around. The roof is insulated and will reduce the amount of the sun's heat transmitted through the roof - thus keeping your screen room cooler on a hot summer's day. An insulated aluminum roof also has superior water run-off compared with a soft roof.

Screen Rooms with an Aluminum Roof Specifications

Patio Enclosure for Soft Vinyl Roof

The ADD-A-Room Screen Room, Patio Enclosure is a three-sided room that is installed on a deck or patio and attached to your home, cottage or trailer. The screened room can be purchased with either a soft vinyl roof or an insulated aluminium roof. The Add-A-Room Screen Room, Patio Enclosure provides protection from the sun, rain and bugs and will allow you to obtain greater enjoyment from the outdoors during the summer.

There are many different colors, standard sizes and heights. Custom sizes are also available.

The following is a description of the insulated aluminium Roof Patio Enclosure.

The screen room frames are made of fully extruded aluminium. The frames are baked, powder coated paint finish and available in several colours. The frames are fully screened in fibreglass screening that has 18 x 16 threading per square inch. The screen frames have aluminium cross bar support to enhance the strength of the frame. The cross bars are painted in a manner similar to the frames themselves. Each screen frame is pre-joined to the next one using a 1″ flexible vinyl hinge. One screen door is provided, which slides on nylon wheels in a rigid black plastic track.

The screen room frames are typically or 44″ or 29″ wide depending on the size of Screen Room, Patio Enclosure ordered. Normal screen frame height is 74″ and an optional height screen frame is available.

The standard height at the high point of the Screen Room, Patio Enclosure (where it attaches to the home or trailer) is 96″ with 74″ high screen frames. This height can vary from 88″ to 116″ depending on the options ordered.

The Insulated Aluminium Roof is available in either 3″, 4.5″ or 6″ thickness. The greater the thickness of the roof, the greater strength and the higher the insulation value.

The roof is installed above the screen frames and results in a roof structure which is tight, thus being more resistant to bug entry. The Patio Enclosure may be left up all year round, when installed on a deck or patio that does not move in relation to the home or trailer to which it is attached. The Insulated Aluminium Roof has excellent water or snow run-off and can carry most normal snow loads (typically around 55 pounds per square foot). Since the roof is insulated it will cut down the amount of heat transferred from the roof in the summer time and so the Screen Room, Patio Enclosure will be cooler than with a soft vinyl roof.

Where the Screen Room, Patio Enclosure is installed under a home roof, an eaves-trough must be installed on the house to avoid significant amounts of water or snow being cast onto the Screen Room, Patio Enclosure roof from the house.

A roof track and receiver extrusion are installed to accept the roof. The screen room roof is made of one and a half pound expanded polystyrene vacuum pressed to embossed aluminium skin on both sides. The aluminium has an baked, powder coated white paint finish. The thickness of the insulated roof varies from 3″-6″ depending on the size of the roof projection and the customer’s needs. The greater the thickness of the roof , the greater strength and the higher the insulation value. The modular roof panels are joined together on site. Extrusions are provided to surround the gable end material (1 3/4″ thick insulated panels at each end of the Screen Room, Patio Enclosure to fully enclose the room). The connection to the screen room frames reduces screen frame movement in wind. The front extrusion supporting the roof is in turn supported by flutted aluminium posts (same paint finish as the roof), which are placed at every second joint in the screen room frames (approximately 90″ apart).

The screen room roof comes with a gutter for the front and fascia for the sides.

All parts are made of rust resistant aluminium except for the soft vinyl hinge connecting the screen room frames, the wheel assembly, and tracks for the sliding door.

Roof Pitch of Screen Rooms with an Aluminum Roof

Calculation of minimum roof slope requirements for an Insulated Aluminium Roof Patio Enclosure Screen Room, Patio Enclosure.

The normal screen frame height (B) is 74″. If the people using the Screen Room, Patio Enclosure are tall, one may wish to consider purchasing the optional height screen frames. In order to have proper water run-off from the roof a minimum slope is required.
