Measurements for Enclosing your Existing Porch or Deck
Measuring for Walls Complete with Windows, Screens and Doors
At times decks or roof overhangs are not constructed level. Therefore, when taking measurements for the wall it is advisable to take the vertical measurements on the left and the right sides and several places in between, especially if it is a long wall. The horizontal measurements should be taken at the top and the bottom.
Our extrusion design can accommodate a slight variance in the height measurements. Alternatively, we can either cut the wall at an angle or where there are fluctuations in the height we can cut it for the long measurement and it would have to be custom fit on site.
Our walls will have some solid panel on each end, before the windows start. If you have a length variance between your top to bottom measurement, this can be accommodated by cutting the starter solid wall piece at an angle on site.
For Windows and Screens only (no walls)
The openings should be square for the windows to fit best. If you force the windows into an non-square opening they will not function properly. Our window design with an outer lip (outside mount window) provides some leeway for slightly out of square openings as long as the window is not forced in and is properly shimmed before screwing it into place. Any gaps can be covered on the inside with a moulding.
When taking measurements it is advisable to take the vertical measurements on the left and the right side and the horizontal measurements at the top and the bottom. In addition one should measure the two diagonals. This will ensure that when we ship you the windows they will fit in the opening.
We can accommodate openings between posts of up to 12 feet with our stereo window system.
Porch Window Measurements
Measuring for 4 Track Stacking Windows and Screens only (no walls)
The openings for your 4 Track Stacking Windows should be square for the windows to fit best. If you force the windows into a non-square opening they will not function properly. Our 4 Track Stacking Window design with an outer lip (outside mount window) provides some leeway for slightly out of square openings as long as the window is not forced in and is properly shimmed before screwing it into place. We can accommodate openings between existing posts of widths that are wider than one individual window through the use of our aluminum box extrusion posts in a matching colour with multiple windows. In this case we provide the material and posts of approximately 2” wide are assembled on site. These are then used to join all the windows in the wall.

Laminations and Finishes – Lifetime Warranty
All expanded polystyrene panel products are warranted to be free of blistering, chipping, cracking, peeling or delamination under normal residential use and service for as long as you own your sunroom.
Insulating Glass Units – 15 Year Warranty
Warrants its insulated glass units for fifteen (15) years, from the date of installation, under normal residential use and service, against seal failure resulting in permanent fogging in the space between the glass.
Window & Door Glass Breakage – Lifetime Warranty
Warrants the tempered glass units in windows and doors against breakage in residential use for as long as you own your sunroom.
Vinyl Extruded Components – Lifetime Warranty
Warrants vinyl extruded components under normal residential use and service, to be free from peeling, flaking, blistering and corroding for as long as you own your sunroom. The vinyl extruded components are not warranted against discoloration caused by air pollution, exposure to harmful chemicals or normal weathering (fading) resulting from exposure to the elements.
Hardware and Screen Units – Lifetime Warranty
Warrants the materials used for moving parts (Door Rollers, Latches etc.) and other hardware items and screen units under normal residential use and service for as long as you own your sunroom.
Vinyl Glazed Windows – 10 Year Warranty
Warrants the vinyl glazed windows for ten (10) years, from date of installation, under normal residential use and service, against fogging and cracking provided the cleaning instructions are followed.
Taking Care of Your Vinyl Windows
Please remember vinyl is not glass. Extreme care must be taken when cleaning your vinyl windows. Do not use any harsh cleaners or detergents. It is imperative that formulas containing bleach or ammonia are NOT used. For best results, your windows need to be cool before washing. Make sure all dust and loose sand or grit has been removed from all areas of the frame. We recommend that you use our vinyl cleaner which has been specially formulated for your windows. You may purchase this cleaner from your dealer.
Coverage of Warranty
The obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or replacement of any component part found to be defective within the applicable periods described above. Should repair or replacement of the defective component parts be prohibitively costly, the company may instead provide a refund of the purchase price of the product. This warranty does not apply to any product damaged or determined to be defective as a result of improper handling, operation or maintenance.
Limitations of Warranty
Not responsible for indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages or losses the consumer may suffer or incur in connection with this product or its use.
Claims procedure
If a warranty claim should become necessary, send the defective part (if practical to do so) or request an inspection by the installation contractor. If found to be defective a new replacement part will be supplied to you at no charge (freight collect).

4 Track Stacking Windows
If you have built a partial wall under your overhanging roof or if you have home-made screens or windows that currently enclose your porch and you would like to spruce it up; here’s the solution! Enclose it with our professional 4 Track Windows complete with screens. These can be manufactured to fit in your existing framing. The units are shipped complete and all you need do is caulk (caulking provided) around the lip and screw (screws provided) the 4 Track Windows into place.
Our 4 Track Windows are smooth operating, side spring loaded not pins to jamb or break. They are aluminum framed with “memory” vinyl available in either clear, bronze or smoke grey tint at no extra cost. Framing is available in three standard colours.
